The Black Starlets of Ghana are gearing up for their semi-final match against Burkina Faso in the ongoing WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship.

The game, set to kick off at 17:00GMT at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, will see the return of deputy skipper Abdullai Nortey to the starting lineup.

Coach Laryea Kingston, who had benched Nortey in the last group game against Benin, has decided to revert to the team that won 5-1 against Ivory Coast in the first game of the tournament. This strategic move is expected to bolster the Black Starlets' chances of securing a win and qualifying for the 2025 U17 AFCON.

The Black Starlets' defense will be anchored by Bilal, Izdeen, Gbafa, and Hamza, while Nortey, Kagawa, and Ayamga will control the midfield. In the attack, skipper Tsivanyo will be joined by Sarpong and Narbi, aiming to breach Burkina Faso's defense and score the goals needed for victory and AFCON qualification.

The Black Starlets' journey in the WAFU B U-17 Championship has been marked by determination and resilience, and the semi-final match against Burkina Faso is expected to be no different.
