Black Starlets head coach, Laryea Kinston, has revealed that he and his boys will continue working hard to be ready for the 2024 U17 WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations.

The team is out to end the two time absence of Ghana from the previous two editions of the competition, finishing as runners-up in 2017, the last time Ghana participated in the tournament.

Speaking after their participation in the 2024 UEFA U16 Invitational tournament in Russia, he said he has put his boys in gear for the start of the tourney next week.

"Immediately we finished the game against Kazakhstan, we put it in their head that this is over,” Kingston said.

"Now the most important tournament is coming up. We are working and no one is stepping off the treadmill. We are on the treadmill because we have a mission.”

The Black Starlets will kick off their quest to win the WAFU Cup of Nations and qualify for the AFCON when they take on Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday, May 15 before facing Benin six days later.
