The Ghana U20 boys national team failed the tough test of facing the Burkina Faso U20 national on Monday afternoon when the two countries locked horns at the 2023 WAFU Zone B U20 Cup of Nations tournament.

At the end of the Group A contest, Burkina Faso bagged all three points after sealing a 2-0 win.

The Ghana U20 national team nicknamed the Black Satellites needed to win badly today to increase the side’s chances of progressing to the knockout stage of the tournament.

This is due to the opening day 1-1 draw with Niger which saw the Satellites conceding a late goal.

Following the defeat today, Ghana must now prepare and hope to beat host nation Ivory Coast in the final group game.

That crucial game between Ghana and Ivory Coast is scheduled to be played on Thursday, July 13.

Only a win for the Black Satellites is likely to send Ghana to the knockout stage of the WAFU Zone B U20 Boys Cup of Nations tournament.
