Ghana international Emmanuel Boateng delivered an outstanding performance to help Rio Ave secure victory against Vitoria de Guimaraes in the Portuguese top-flight.
The former Levante attacker lasted the entire duration as his outfit cruised to a 2-1 home win over their opponent on Saturday.
Rio Ave opened the scoring after Joca found the back of the net eight minutes before half time with a thunderous strike.
The striker pounced on a brilliant assist from Ghanaian attacker Abdul Aziz Yakubu to give his side the lead. The host went to the halftime break with the advantage.
After recess, Boateng fired home his side winning goal in the 56th minute mark after he was et up by Mateo Tanlongo.
Vitoria grabbed a consolation through Nuno Valente Santos late in the game.
Boateng has netted seven goals in 25 matches for Rio Ave this season, playing a pivotal role in the club's campaign.
