The head coach of the Ghana U20 women’s national team, Yussif Basigi has indicated that his team will not underrate the Senegal U20 women’s national team on Monday night.

The Black Princesses are facing off with their Senegalese counterparts tonight in the semi-finals of the women’s football tournament at the 13th African Games.

Speaking in his pre-match interview, Coach Yussif Basigi said his Princesses won’t be complacent although they recently defeated the opponent.

"We played Senegal during the World Cup qualifiers and scored them but going into this game, we will not underrate them. I have watched them play and they are a good side so we will go into the game taking it very seriously as it will be a tough game.

"Due to the inconsistent nature of our back line due to injury, it makes us a-bit unstable. Though we conceded first before equalising, we will go into the next game to make sure it doesn’t happen as we have worked on our mistakes during training,” Coach Yussif Basigi said.

The game between Ghana and Senegal will kick off at 8 pm.
