Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara has indicated that he is open to the recruitment of foreign players to augment the squad.

However, he insists that the club will only sign foreign players who are extraordinary.

Speaking in an interview, coach Aboubakar Ouattara said he won’t advise the club to go in for a foreign player whose quality can be found in a player in Ghana.

“I can’t recruit a player from outside when there is an equally good player in Ghana. If we will sign a foreign player that player should be extraordinary. A foreign player should not come and sit on the bench. Take Otanga for example. He is at that top level. I want players who will be willing to fight for the team all the team, not players who will come and give excuses,” coach Aboubakar Ouattara said.

Having only taken over as Hearts of Oak's head coach in the middle of the season, Coach Aboubakar Ouattara is working with players he came to meet.

He is expected to be massively involved in player recruitment at the end of the season to build a team that can compete for the Ghana Premier League next season.
