Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Proper Narteh Ogum has pleaded with the club’s fans following their elimination from the Ghana FA Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors faced a disappointing exit from this season's FA Cup after suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Karela United in the Round 16 stage of the competition.

The first half of the game ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net.

But in a spirited performance, Karela United cruised to victory in the second half to advance to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.

“I take full responsibility for our exit from the FA Cup. The teams’ performance fell short of the high expectation of our loving fabulous family and friends”

“We are sorry for the disappointment. We are dedicated and committed to come back and fight for the Ghana Premier League” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Karela United broke the deadlock just two minutes after the halftime break with a goal from Solomon Aboagye before Giyas sealed win for his side in the 65th minute.
