West Brom coach Carlos Corberan lauds Brandon Thomas-Asante after scoring against Bristol City

West Bromwich Albion manager Carlos Corberan has heaped praise on Brandon Thomas-Asante after scoring in their 2-0 win over Bristol City in the English Championship.

Thomas Asante netted a spectacular second-half goal to seal three crucial points for the Baggies after Matty Phillips had earlier put the visitors ahead.

The win lifts West Brom to 12th, although they did drop a place to 13th by the the end of the night, after Luton Town's win over Norwich City in the evening game.

“The second goal was key for us because it helped kill the game," Corberan said as quoted by the club's website.

“When I watch Brandon Thomas-Asante, I am watching a player who plays with a lot of energy and determination.

“He has the instinct of the goal in mind.

“He’s a big player for us because he helps the team from a defensive point of view with his pressing."
