Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, has taken a swipe at critics saying he is good enough to secure another job should he leave the club.

The former Black Galaxies assistant coach has come under pressure for the poor start of the Porcupine Warriors in the second half of the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

Kotoko have lost four out of five league games played thus far including a 3-2 loss at home to Accra Lions and a 1-0 loss to Kpando Heart of Lions.

Addressing the poor start of his side, Dr Ogum indicated he is still a top coach a lot of clubs in Ghana and abroad are clamouring for.

“If I leave Kotoko next season, I can get a job locally and internationally. In fact, before I came to Kotoko, I was going abroad, I had a job I was going but the great king (Otumfuo Osei Tutu II) told me not to go and I should come and do the job," he told Kumasi based Angel FM.

“Locally, if I don’t get a job, I will get a coaching job internationally and there is no way I will never get a job locally. Let’s even put football aside, if I decide not to coach again, don’t I have the lecture theatre to go and work there?”

Asante Kotoko sit 8th on the league log with 32 points and will host Nations FC in the Matchday 23 games at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday with kick-off scheduled at 20:00GMT.
